Pray For The Success Of Govt, Ogun Deputy Governor, Charges Nigerians


 

A charge has gone to Nigerians to continue to pray for the success of the policies and programmes of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration at repositioning the country.

The Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele gave the charge during the Eid prayers to commemorate the End of the Holy month of Ramadan held at the Ota Central Eid ground

Engineer Salako-Oyedele who called on the citizens to be optimistic about the emergence of a new Nigeria soon, expressed delight that the new policies of the government at the centre are already yielding the desired results on the nation’s economy.

While renewing the commitment of Governor Dapo Abiodun at ensuring the even distribution of the dividends of democracy across the state, the Deputy Governor urged faithfuls to continue to pray for the government so they will be able to do more for the people.

She also advised muslims to adhere to the tenets of Islam as well as live by the various teachings imbibed during ramadan, praying that Allah accepts all the supplications done during the holy month as an act of Ibadah

Delivering a sermon during the Eid prayers, the Chief Imam of Ota and Aworiland, Sheik Buhari Aina-Aladi advised muslims to be guided by all the Ramadan teachings in a bid to find solutions to the challenges confronting Nigeria .

Represented by Imam Sabiq Aina-Aladi, the clergyman saw the need for muslims to eschew any acts capable of preventing them from receiving the rewards from the holy month.

Also speaking, the Olota of Ota, Oba Abdulkabir Obalanlege in his charge, appealed to the youths to desist from social vices such as thuggery and cultism, reminding them that revisiting the ungodly behaviours avoided during ramadan is unacceptable before Allah.
