Addressing journalists during a press conference in Ilaro-Yewa on Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Founder, Convener and National President of LOYAMP, Elhadj (Otunba) Abu-Satar Idowu Hamed, said the association remains committed to its long-standing campaign for the emergence of a qualified son of Ogun West as Governor of Ogun State.
According to him, LOYAMP is an association of veteran journalists, publishers, Editors-in-Chief and media professionals who have consistently championed the cause of equity, fairness and justice through responsible journalism and constructive advocacy.
He recalled that, in pursuit of this objective, the association had consulted several eminent leaders across the country, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Ogun State Governor, Senator Gbenga Daniel, among other distinguished personalities, to canvass support for the Ogun West governorship agenda.
The LOYAMP President stated that Senator Adeola’s return to Ogun West after representing Lagos West in the Senate had brought remarkable political transformation and accelerated development across the senatorial district.
He noted that through numerous infrastructural projects, educational interventions and life-changing empowerment programmes, Senator Adeola has positively impacted thousands of residents, including youths, women, artisans, students, senior citizens and other vulnerable groups.
