The book, the third in the series, celebrates 50 Nigerians who have made significant contributions to the development of Ogun State.
According to the Publisher/CEO, Mr. Dada Olanipekun, the honorees include technocrats, administrators, politicians, paramilitary personnel, and other professionals who have demonstrated sterling qualities worthy of emulation.
The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) secretariat in Abeokuta. Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, will be the special guest speaker. Ogun State Head of Service, Pastor Kehinde Obasanjo, will be the special guest of honor, while Elder Bode Adeaga, former president of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors, will chair the event.
The Publisher said " Although, those being celebrated in this edition are not entirely indigenes of Ogun State, the authors have found their contributions to the state worthy of emulation and documentation for posterity.
"These sterling qualities have made it unavoidably necessary to beam the search light on them, hence they are being celebrated."
The top role models, Olanipekun said had been painstakingly chosen as a result of their contributions to the development of state.
"The unveiling of the accomplished Nigerians has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta.
"Nigeria's immediate past High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, who is among the role models will also be the special guest speaker.
"Ogun State Head of Service, Pastor Kehinde Onasanya is the special guest of honour.
"Eminent surveyor and former president, Nigerian Institution of Surveyors, Elder Bode Adeaga is the chairman of the day."
